We Grow Free-Range Chicken Eggs
Our hens are happy hens. Their eggs are a variety of colors including many shades of brown, cream and occasionally a blue-green. Along with our rooster, they have access to our entire farm and help us keep the insect population to a minimum around our tunnels and barnyard. Even in the winter, they venture out of the coop and spend their days hanging out in the dirt floor barn or scratching through the hay in the hog pens for any leftover grain. While this freedom makes it difficult to keep track of rogue hens in the spring and summer, we enjoy the occasional clutch of chicks that appear completely by surprise and replenish our stock.
